Data source errorDataFormat.Error:

Hi all,

I have a report that contains multiple Excel csv data sources. I have published the report to Power BI services from desktop, whenever it refreshes I get the error below:

Data source error: DataFormat.Error: <ccon>File contains corrupted data.. </ccon>;File contains corrupted data.. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: sc_requests 2022.
Cluster URI: WABI-NORTH-EUROPE-G-PRIMARY-redirect.analysis.windows.net
Activity ID: 0f895efc-0bf1-4262-b92c-5de530cfd01c
Request ID: 2aa002ea-89cd-831d-e0ed-dbda2cfad468
Time: 2023-06-05 08:39:21Z

I can refresh the report from Power BI desktop, it only gives me an error on Power BI Service,

Please can you assist?

Hi @v-yanjiang-msft,

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please check the below possible reasons:

Excel sheet with "Highly Confidential" sensitivity.

Have special characters in the data fields.

Core excel > 30MB
Excel has password
Permission issue
Corrupted model
Wrong type, error format, value issue, etc.

If you still have a problem, you can try these steps to find if they can be useful:

First, make sure the PBI desktop is the latest version.
Then please delete the data source (File -> Options and Settings -> Data Source Settings) and reconnect to see if it works.
Please make sure all permission and credentials are correct.
