Connecting to a dataset in the PowerBI Service from within PowerBI Desktop fails.

Hi,

I have several datasets available in de Power BI Service and I would like to connect to them in Power BI Desktop. Reuse my datasets.

This is possible through the preview option: Power BI Service Live Connection. 

1. I have enable the preview option in my Power BI desktop.
2. I restarted Power BI Desktop
3. I want to 'Get Data' via the 'Power BI Service' option, but the list of available dataset stays empty. Refresh doesn't work, and expanding my workspace neither.

What am I missing? My datasets connect (live) with an Analysis Services database.

Any input is appreciated.

I don't believe that is supported. The reason is that there is nothing imported into the Power BI Service since you are already using Live connections. You can't use a Live connection on top of a Live connection, you should instead just connect Live to your Analysis Services instance from Desktop.

Apparently SSAS databases are not yet supported. What a pity!
