Argument in AddColumn Function

= Table.AddColumn(
      #"Changed Type",
     "DoubleNumbers",
     each [Numbers] * 2
 )

I am wondering whether in this function, #"Changed Type"
is a table. Because the syntax of Table.AddColumn requires that the first argument is a table!

what am I missing?

In most cases each step in a query should be a table. In this case the #"Changed Type" refers to the result of the previous step, which is a table, not a function.

Hi @Anonymous,

This [the table] should be the case if you did not change anything manually, but can be anything (hard to say without seeing the entire query).

If you click on the Changed Type step in your query and see a table, this is a table.

Kind regards,

John
