Active Directory Data Flow Error

I am attempting to create a Data Flow that will retrieve Active Directory data via an on-premises data gateway. After entering our domain information and authentication I receive the following error:

Error from external service: Expression.Error: The key didn't match any rows in the table. (Session ID: 7743e1a4-1944-46b7-baf3-e2c55b3f5a52)

I have read other posts on this forum regarding Active Directory errors but have not seen that particular one before. Has anyone else successfully setup a data flow to on-premises Active Directory?

It turns out that the domain name needs to be in upper case. If I hadn't looked at the advanced query editor in Power BI Desktop I would not have caught that.

Thanks.

Hi @chucksteel

You could use the same domain information and authentication in Power BI Desktop to test if there is any error.

If it works in Power BI Desktop, open Advanced editor in Desktop, copy and paste that code in Power Query online.

Before Power Query Onlibe can connect to Active Directory data correctly, you need to add data source under the on-premise gateway (personal mode doesn't support).

Best Regards

Maggie
