ALLEXCEPT

Hey guys,

I work for an airline industry. I have a simple formula for Completion Rate, which is Cancellations/(Flown + Cancellations).

I have a filter for the reason a flight was cancelled. However, I only want to apply it to the numerator in this equation. In other words, I always want the denominator to be Flown + Cancelled, with no "reason" filter applied.

I have been using BI for under a year now, and can't seem to get the ALLEXCEPT function to do what I need. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I am on a time crunch, and feeling some pressure! Any help would be really appreciated!

Hi, @LearningBI1986 i would suggest to use REMOVEFILTERS instead like

VAR Denominator = CALCULATE([Cancellations] + [Flown], REMOVEFILTERS("reason_column"))

RETURN DIVIDE ( [Cancellations], Denominator)
