Editing the json content in PBIP files seems to allow the setting of dynamic expressions in place of static property values - even if the Power BI UI does not provide an fx button. It seems any property can be set dynamically!

In this article, we would be learning how to add a gradient text in Power BI. A gradient is a smooth transition between two or more colors. Instead of displaying a solid color, a gradient blends multiple colors together in a seamless way (screenshot below).

In this blog we will go through an issue I had with a table and I needed to exclude it from the report refresh so that the report could refresh normally for the other tables until the issue was fixed on the backend.

 

Since I didn’t have the SQL credentials, I had to exclude it from the report refresh without using Power Query, as that would require credentials.

 

Luckily, I was able to do this using the TMDL view introduced in the January 2025 update. Here’s how:
