Hello,
I am very new to Power BI data modeling, so please be kind.
I am trying to create a data model with a query/table that represents a unique list of accounts. Everytime an account is changed, a history record is created as is a new record with the update(s). The records are also associated with a date. The 'current' records are sent to us daily and have today's date associated, while the history records retain the date the hisory record was create. During a fiscal year, accounts will fall off the 'current' file and be placed on a history file, so I can't simply use the 'current' file for my report. I need to be able to select a date range for the account I want to use and not get duplicates. I should also mention that I then need to match this data back up with other information that goes along with the account like credit rating, limit totals, account holder, etc.
Hi @kthorp ,
I'm not very clear about your requirement. Could you please explain more with some examples(include sample data and expected result)? Do you want to get one table with the recent data and link with the other tables?
Please review the content in the following links, hope they can help you.
