Live Filtering in Chart

I have a  below database table 

Select CourseId, CourseName from Course.

Now want to create simple asp.net page. Page will have following layout

1. DropDownList - which contain distinct course
2. Button (Filter)
3. Pie Chart

want to show powe bi chart on asp.net page, and allow the user to filer the chart data by selecting the value from the drop down list and hit filter button. However i want to pull data live from the database.

Please can someone guide step by step to achive this goal.

By using the new JavaScript API, you could create your own custom filter pane.
