Access Power BI REST API using Managed Identity

I am currently have a Service Principal (App Reg) which has access to the Power BI REST API. And I use this app from my python notebook in Azure Databricks to make REST API calls. Now we have a manadate to move away from secret or certificate based authentication and use Managed Identity. I created an user assigned managed identity, assigned to the databricks workspace and added it as a Federated Credential in the Service Prinicipal that has access to the REST APIs. Bot the managed identity and Service Prinicipal have beed added to the PowerBI workspace as well. But I still get unauthorized error. Any gudiance is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Vijay, I'm also a MSFT employee and have a similar issue where I need to move from SPN to UAMI. I'm totally lost. Wondering if you figured this out for your use case and if I could ping you on Teams to understand how you configured it if you did? Feel free to DM me.
