Hello everyone,
in 2023 i started to work with PowerB and i found that it's a great system.
now in 2024 i have some problems with displaying the data of 2023 and 2024 together. what is the best way you know to save the data in a table so it will be the easiest and most simple to read with PowerBi?
right now I have the data in an excel file and there is a column for year and for month and then in powerbi it made me problems to read. is it the best way or there is another way to do it better?
Thank you in advance.

Hi @noamshn ,
Thanks for reaching out to us with your requirement. Base on your description, it seems that you have the data in excel data, and want to show the data with different years. You can connect to excel file in Power BI Desktop and create the proper visual to display the data for good insights. Please refer the following links to get it:
Connect to Excel file:
Quickstart: Connect to data in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Power BI Get Data From Excel: Everything You Need to Know - RADACAD
Visualization type:
Visualization types in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Create the visual to display the data from different years:
Filtering and comparing different time periods with Power BI - SQLBI
Power BI line chart with multiple years of Sales/Time series Data — So many options!
Solved: Line chart - showing two different years of data ... - Microsoft Fabric Community

hello @noamshn ,
you can create a calendar table and link it to your table on the date column.
