synapse Query Folding

Hi,

I have a cosmos db as a background and i am using Synapse through which i am accessing this cosmos DB data in a power BI . I have created some views  in a Synapse and Accessing those views in a Synapse. I am using incr dataset refresh in a power BI , but my Native Query option is always disabled. Is there any way to check if the Query Folding is working or Is there any documen tation which explains Query folding with Synapse in a power BI.

Thanks.

@PBILover According to this: Power BI data sources - Power BI | Microsoft Docs Azure Synapse supports DirectQuery (hence query folding) while Azure Synapse Analytics Workspaces do not (no query folding). Which one are you using?

Thanks for the reply @Greg_Deckler  , Its working now. I am using synapse Import mode.

May I ask, how did you get it to work?

I'm at a similar situation. Where Data Engineering provides me with views in Azure Synapse to connect to. But even on the 1st step of my Pquery (the server selection step), I immediately see the "view native query" greyed out. What's going on?
