i have selected few data points/bars on bar graph then selected data points are highlighted on scatter plots and other visuals
again i have selected few data points from scatter plot 1 and then datapoints are invisible/filtered on scatter plot2 and bar graph
requirement is instead of filtering the data points from scatter plot2 and bar graph then it should highlight the points instead of filter, is there any work around for this

Hi @thimmaraju
Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Fabric community forum.
In Power BI, this is expected behavior and aligns with the platform’s visual interaction design. Scatter charts do not support cross-highlighting as the source visual; when you select points in a scatter chart, it applies cross-filtering to other visuals, filtering out non-selected data points rather than highlighting them. The Edit interactions feature allows you to control how visuals interact, but the available options depend on the visual type, and scatter charts do not include a highlight interaction. Microsoft’s documentation on visual interactions ( https://learn.microsoft.com/power-bi/create-reports/service-reports-visual-interactions) describes how filtering and highlighting work between visuals; in practice, scatter charts only support filtering when used as the source.
While scatter charts can receive cross-highlighting from visuals like bar or column charts, they cannot initiate highlighting themselves. Therefore, this behavior cannot be changed directly, and achieving similar functionality would require redesigning the interaction flow or using alternative visuals that support cross-highlighting as the source.
