multiple tooltips on matrix

learn2fly_0-1662013052141.png

I was wondering if it was possible to have  multiple tooltips in one matrix so that depending on where the mouse is hovering, the appropriate tooltip is displayed. For example if I hover over to the sales column it would show a seperate tooltip page that has

  • this month Sales vs Prevouis month Sales and it would do this to cost as well as # of Employees(prevouis # of employees vs this month).

 Thank you so much!

@Anonymous , The tooltip will get the categorical value. Like Branch, based on that you can change measure calcultion.

You can create a calculation group, then get measure as a dimension and use that.

You can consider tooltip page

Hi @Anonymous ,

Is this the result you want?

If yes, you just create the following matrix with "Year" rows on another page and add it to the custom tooltip.

For more information, please refer to: Create report tooltip pages in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

By the way, if you want to create multiple tooltip pages to the same visaul, I'm afraid it can't be realized yet.

Best regards,

Yadong Fang

Sort of, instead of showing all the kpi's 2021 vs 2022. The tooltip would show one Kpi at a time. like this

Thanks for the feedback. I was able to create the calculation group but I am having trouble as to how to go about implementing that in as a tooltip
