line chart

Hi,

I would like to change the theme colors for my line chart. Does anyone know what is the hex code for transparency? i.e. I would like to make the back line into transparent so it will not be displayed on the chart but keep it for month order?  Thanks.

Hi, you don't need a line chart to sort the months

Check this link :

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-sort-by-column/

or you can watch this video

Hi,

I've tried to change the color in white earlier, but it does not work.

Hi @Anonymous,

Why don't you just delete the line instead of changing it's colour?

Because I would like the X-axis to display the month name by its order instead of month number.

Hi Victor,

Thanks for the link and the video.

The date range of my data is acually controlled by the date slicer that I created. I've tried to follow the description from the link; however, the "Sort by Column" is always inactive.

If I do sort by month, then the month name is sorted in alphabetic order but not in chronological order.

Thanks again for the support.

Hi @Anonymous,

A KHorseman said, if you choose a column, the button will activate. But I think it not works on your side, because sort by column feature only available on unique value, if you try to apply it at columns who has duplicate values, then you will get below error message.

For you scenario, I think you can drag a date column in axis , switch to hierarchy mode and keep month only.

You have to select your month column to make that button active. Click on Month in that table.
