Hello,
i am using F2 capacity and can enable data ai agent.
But the issue is that Prep data for AI is grayed out.
Model is on DirectLake over Onelake.
Best Wishes,
Jacek

Ok found the answer:
1. It is grayed out because You can not edit live connection model.

Hi @jaryszek,
Have you had a chance to review the solution we shared earlier? If the issue persists, feel free to reply so we can help further.
Thank you.
HI @jaryszek,
Thank you @anilelmastasi, for your insights.
If “Prep data for AI” is grayed out, it’s not because of DirectLake (which is supported). Common reasons include Copilot not being fully enabled at the tenant or workspace level, missing semantic model authoring permissions, the Desktop preview feature being disabled, or the capacity being in an unsupported region (such as India-West).
Check Copilot tenant settings, make sure the workspace is on Fabric capacity and Copilot-enabled, confirm you have Build/Write access to the semantic model, and verify the Prep data for AI preview feature is enabled in Desktop.
