Hi all, I'm new to Power BI and created a few reports from excel, which had no problem automatically aggregating text columns until now.
I've loaded data from a simple excel file and it won't aggregate columns. When I go to 'modeling' the 'sum' option is greyed out. Any suggestions? What have I done wrong?

You have to change your data type to integer or decimal.
Either from the Data View: Modelling > Change Data Type or Power Query.
