Text column does not aggregate

Hi all, I'm new to Power BI and created a few reports from excel, which had no problem automatically aggregating text columns until now.   I've loaded data from a simple excel file and it won't agg...

    Hi paulraykelly

     

    You have to change your data type to integer or decimal.

     

    Either from the Data View: Modelling > Change Data Type or Power Query.
