Before I moved my reports to Power BI I used to use a formula in Excel to determine the % change across a set of data.
For example
(Column A) Month Year | (Column B) Sales |
Dec-17 | 1,284,286 |
Jan-18 | 1,373,711 |
Feb-18 | 1,276,939 |
Mar-18 | 1,629,803 |
Apr-18 | 1,285,773 |
May-18 | 1,620,492 |
Jun-18 | 1,200,728 |
Jul-18 | 1,216,823 |
Aug-18 | 1,423,952 |
Sep-18 | 1,436,114 |
Oct-18 | 1,484,603 |
Nov-18 | 1,787,567 |
Dec-18 | 1,162,967 |
Trend %Chg | 0.47% |
The Trend above was calculated using LOGEST(B2:B14) to show a trend growth of 0.47%
How can I emulate this in Power BI
@LUCASM ,
As far as I know, there is no elegant way. You may submit an idea via https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi.
Thanks for your suggestion, I'll give it a week or so and if no comes back with an in-elegant solution I'll mark yours as an accepted answer.
Kind Regards
Martin
