TREND %Change

Before I moved my reports to Power BI I used to use a formula in Excel to determine the % change across a set of data.

For example

(Column A) Month Year (Column B) Sales
Dec-17 1,284,286
Jan-18 1,373,711
Feb-18 1,276,939
Mar-18 1,629,803
Apr-18 1,285,773
May-18 1,620,492
Jun-18 1,200,728
Jul-18 1,216,823
Aug-18 1,423,952
Sep-18 1,436,114
Oct-18 1,484,603
Nov-18 1,787,567
Dec-18 1,162,967
Trend %Chg0.47%

The Trend above was calculated using LOGEST(B2:B14) to show a trend growth of 0.47%

How can I emulate this in Power BI

@LUCASM ,

As far as I know, there is no elegant way. You may submit an idea via https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi.

Hi @v-chuncz-msft

Thanks for your suggestion, I'll give it a week or so and if no comes back with an in-elegant solution I'll mark yours as an accepted answer. Smiley Happy

Kind Regards
