Sharing Issue

I am trying to share a PBI with another associate in my company. He keeps getting a message requiring him to request access from me to view the report. I have granted him access several times when receiving the automated emails back. But he just keeps getting this message. So we're just on this constant loop at the moment. Our entire company is signed up as "Pro" users. So not sure what else needs to be done in order for him to gain access. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @jeffmclaughlin ,

Thanks for reaching out to us about your issue. Please follow the steps below and try to resolve the issue:

1. Check the mail address of users whom you share the report with and if he have the active pro license

  • Confirm Email Address: Make sure that the email address you're sharing the report with is the same as the one your colleague is using to access Power BI.
  • Verify Licensing: Ask your colleague to check if their "Pro" license is active. They can do this by going to the Power BI service, clicking on the gear icon in the top right corner, and selecting "Manage personal storage". If there's an issue with the license, they should contact their IT department to resolve it.

2. Check the permission in Admin portal

  • Check Permissions: Make sure that you have shared the report with the correct email address. Also, check if there are any restrictions in your Power BI admin portal that might be preventing your colleague from accessing the report. You can find more information in this official documentation on how to manage permissions in Power BI.

Best Regards
