SQL Reporting Serivce / Gateway Error code: 1056899072

Hi 

I hope someone can help. 

We are having issues which we really haven't had before, the issue is SQL reporting service seems running when this happens where PBI reports are not acceseble trough online, it says something about contact gateway administrator. 

When we restart the SQL reporting service in services everything works again, and we just can't figure out what the issue is. This has happened multiple times now and is annoying. 

We updated gateway to latest version, we changed the user on SQL reporting service to AD user didn't help. 

The error code is like this:

Hi @isly ,

As @parry2k  mentioned, poewrbi  report server is on -premise, it doesn't need gateway, you need to configure credential in datasource settting. You could refer to compare-report-server-service  for details.

Did other powerbi report in report server work well? Did you configure datasource for powerbi report in report server? If you re-upload powerbi report in report server, will it work or not?

@isly it is not very clear what is working and what is going on, can you layout the setup, seems like power bi service is using a gateway to refresh the dataset and it fails to refresh and in that case, you have a reporting service (on-prem) and you restart the reporting service and then cloud power bi service works? Is this a correct understanding?
