I have a Python script that transforms data I am importing from a SQL server. This refreshes fine when on desktop or if I publish to my personal workspace on Power BI service. However, I would like to move this dataset to my company's server so that my computer does not need to be online for scheduled refreshes. However, this does not allow the Python script to refresh. I have read previous posts and it seems that there is no solution for this as Power BI does not support Python refreshes online. Does anyone know of any workarounds to this or is this still the case?
Solved! Go to Solution.
There is no workaround. Python scripts require personal gateways (and in extension for your PC to be online).
You are selected as the solution, but where is the solution?
The situation has not changed for Power BI. The answer is still correct.
