Problem with Report as Tooltip with DirectQuery

The Tooltip formatting option for a built-in visual is not available for DirectQuery data source.  I cannot seem to find documentation that supports the lack of....support.  Trying to get a report as tooltip following the instructions on the March update powerBI blog

Hi @the1dataninja,

 

Based on my test, report tooltip page works fine in Power BI desktop March release. In your scenario, please make sure the desktop version is updated and Report page tooltips is enabled. See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-tooltips

Based on my test, report tooltip page works fine in Power BI desktop March release. In your scenario, please make sure the desktop version is updated and Report page tooltips is enabled. See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-tooltips
