Here is my data table:
Category | Year | Units |
Category 1 | Last Year | 6,349 |
Category 2 | Last Year | 6,474 |
Category 3 | Last Year | 9,317 |
Category 4 | Last Year | 483 |
Category 5 | Last Year | 1,944 |
Category 1 | This Year | 2,140 |
Category 2 | This Year | 6,194 |
Category 3 | This Year | 8,541 |
Category 4 | This Year | 2,287 |
Category 5 | This Year | 8,991 |
Here is the output I want:
Last Year Units | This Year Units | Unit Change | Unit Growth | % of Unit Growth | |
Category 1 | 6,349 | 2,140 | -4,209 | 0 | 0% |
Category 2 | 6,474 | 6,194 | -280 | 0 | 0% |
Category 3 | 9,317 | 8,541 | -776 | 0 | 0% |
Category 4 | 483 | 2,287 | 1,804 | 1,804 | 20% |
Category 5 | 1,944 | 8,991 | 7,047 | 7,047 | 80% |
Total | 24,567 | 28,153 | 3,586 | 8,851 | 100% |
Here is the output I get when attempting it in PowerBI (note the 50% and 197% that I want to be 20% and 80% respectively):
I want unit growth to be the sum of all positive unit growths of the categories: 8,851. But in PowerBI, it isn't looping by category (not sure if that's the right lingo), it's just giving me the change at the total level.
Here is link to PBI file (I'm not able to attach to this post directly).
Thank you for any help!

Hi,
I do not have the file. Share data in a format that can be pasted in an MS Excel file. Explain the question and show the expected result.
Answered there.
