I have a larget dataset need to be refreshed daily. the process is fainful and slow. it's connected from dynamic CRM (or can be connected from SQL view). becase the past data won't change. for example, only 2017 data will need to be refresh.
I can create 2 dataset with '2016 or before' as a main dataset and another dataset '2017 or after' and append 2017 into the main one.
but the problem is: is it possible to stop refresh the 'main dataset' and only refresh the '2017 or after' dataset?
Hi @Anonymous,
For the table that contains “2016 or before” data , you can disable the “Include in Report Refresh” option in Query Editor of Power BI Desktop.

@Anonymous thanks but it's just 1 able, 1 big table contain data from 1998-today. my question is can i ask it to refresh the data just for this year? but not 2016 and before?
@Anonymous,
No. You would need to split your table and load your "2016 or before" data into another table, then disable the option for the table that contains "2016 or before" data. For more details, please review the following blog.
