How to copy value from other Row

Hi experts,

Plz suggest way to copy value from a row, below example data,

there are 3 type of datas being maintained in same table,

1. right side last column is i Need from "Location"

2. 2nd Row is linked with 1st row having unique id between "Survey response master" with "Id"

3. 3rd Row is linked with 1st row having unique id between "Survey bucket" and "Id"

Hi @asifkarimindia ,

 

You may go to Query Editor, go to Add column -> Index column, create an index column (start from 1 ), click "Close & Apply" button. Then create column like DAX below.

 

Column Needed = VAR _FirstRowLocation= MAXX( FILTER( 'Table', 'Table'[Index]=1), [Location])

RETURN

IF(COUNTROWS('Table')=1, 'Table'[Location], IF( OR (SEARCH('Table'[MasterResponseId], 'Table'[Id],, -1), SEARCH('Table'[SurveyResponseMaster], 'Table'[Id],, -1) ) ,_FirstRowLocation , BLANK()))

@asifkarimindia , You can copy data across rows using earlier, I am not able to get logic with your description. Can you explain with example

Hi Amit, @amitchandak 3 types of data is maintained in same table, i need value in column "Location" of first row in other 2 rows with vlookup - Unique Id should match, Unique relation given below 1. Row 1 & 2 is having "Id" & "SurveyResponse master" as common & unique 2. Row 1 & 3 are having "Id" & "MasterResponseId" as relation but last 3 digits are suffix
