This may be a simple one but I've not been able to do it.
I'm using the data matrix preview on a set of data in exchange of a data slicer (it's much more useful for this particular purpose and allows me to display separate values in addition to the filter category).
This filters a set of other visuals and graphs on the page. Great so far. However, when I want to further filter by clicking on one of the graphs, the original filter (on the data matrix) resets. This wouldn't happen on a data slicer.
Is there a way to retain my original filter when I click on other visuals? I've tried using ctrl but while this works on a single visual it doesn't seem to work here.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Hi @Anonymous,
Currently, it is not possible to do multiple cross-filters in multiple visuals to further narrow down the filtering(as Slicers). Here is a similar idea shared on Power BI Ideas. You can vote it up and add your comments there to improve Power BI on this feature. ![]()

You could try using the visual interactions editing to not have those other visualizations affect your data matrix visual. Nope, nevermind, doesn't work, just tried it. Weird.
