Export Linguistic schema not working
Hello All,
I am trying to edit the live semantic model in the power bi desktop. I can change the table/column in the semantic model using PBI desktop and the changes go are reflected in the Power bi service aka in Microsoft Fabric.. I have been trying to export the linguistic schema so that I can add the synonyms to the fields. When i click on 'export' linguistic schema, nothing is happening. So my question is regarding exporting the linguistic schema if export option from UI not working.

Hi Navsharma - I hope you're connected to a compatible semantic model in Microsoft Fabric. Some users have reported that the export function doesn't respond when connected to certain models.
cross check , 'Modeling' tab in the ribbon, locate the Q&A group, and select 'Linguistic Schema' to attempt the export.

#1 - Unfortunately we can't use this tool as its not approved tool to us. 😞
#2 - I have already enabled Q&A setting in the options of the PBI desktop.
any other way to get the yaml file ? Though import option works but when i click on export , it does nothing.
just FYI, I am using the Jan 2025 Version of Power BI desktop.

Thank you for your prompt response.1.I have found a potentially effective solution, which is to disable and then re-enable the Q&A settings in the problematic model to rebuild the resources:
2.Next, please check if your data source is among those shown in the image below, as the data source might not support export:
