Hello,
Please help - I'm stuck.
My PowerBi displays a map visualisation that fails to render periodically. I have gone through the whole latest PBI desktop, clearing cache, refreshing and republishing, and it works for a period, then stops. The error I get from the 'Something has gone wrong' is below.
I am lost and don't know where to begin trying to fix this. Can anyone please help?
Thanks in advance
oa

Hi @oa5599 - I suggest, few troubleshooting steps by clearing the cached files can interfere with map rendering. Even though you mentioned clearing the cache, try deleting any temporary Power BI files on your system. You can find these in directories like
C:\Users\[YourUser]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\Cache.
After deleting them, restart Power BI Desktop and check once.
point 2: If the map works locally but fails when published to Power BI Service, check for any server-side restrictions. Use the Power BI Service logs to understand if there are any specific connectivity or security errors, as they might provide additional details.
Hope the above information helps
