Hi there. My google fu is letting me down.
I'm accessing a web API and returning 100 records.
I only care to get distinct user; distinct(user), and the record with highes value for number; max(number)
For instance:
user number content
joe 2 blah
jim 1 blah
joe 3 blah
jon 12 blah
jim 6 blah
What I'd like to have returned is:
joe 3 blah
jim 6 blah
jon 12 blah
How am I to only return that?
Much appreciated!

Hi
Just create a measure for your number column. Max of Number= MAX( Table1[Number Column]).
Then pull USer, Content and Max of Number measure into your visuals.
Thanks
Raj
Hi Raj,
For some reason, this solution wasn't as clear until I read your answer to another request:
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Getting-the-Max-value-of-each-group/m-p/485735#M226201
Combining these two instructions worked for me. I was trying to emulate the Teams status of members in the Harvest time tracking system. Many thanks.
