Disable Text box

Dear All,

I am new to power bi and I am from tableau background.

We are using textbox in our reports, But we would like to diable the text box.

Can any one please help me how can I make it.

Hi @infantpowerbi 

Same as the above answers, you can refer to this official document to publish your report to service, and then share it to users with the limited permission:

please note that the user with read-only permission can check your reports, filter your slicer, but he can't edit your visuals.

Hi,

Do you mean that others are not allowed to edit the text? This is possible just by giving them only permission to view the text box. Otherwise I don't really see what you are trying to achieve.

also please let me know even if there is any feature to tune the texbox into read mode

Hi again,

If you share your report to others, it will be read only. Basicly they can interact with your dashboard, but can't edit it. You can simply share your dashboard by clicking  'share' once you are in the desktop application.

The textbox will be read only when you publish the report.  Try to publish it File - Publish, and go view the result.
