Good Morning,
I have two identical date tables that were created via DAX as a variation (some columns commented out, fiscal year defined but not many other changes) of Marco's code found here: https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/reference-date-table-in-dax-and-power-bi/. These tables have the exact same (copied and pasted) DAX code but I also know that other changes can be performed after the fact (hierarchies, column name changes, etc.)
I'm trying to standardize them and my issue is that the "Date" column is defaulting completely differently in each table, one as an Identity Column and one as a Date Hierarchy:
Does anyone know what might cause this difference? And how I can get Table 1 to be like Table 2 (without starting over and losing all of my name changes, etc.)?
Thanks!

@BekahLoSurdo the difference is Table 1 Date field is Marked as Date Table hence you see this behavior. To make Table 1 Date column identical to Table 2 Date column simply uncheck Mark as Date Table.

Hi @AmanBedwal,
Thank you! I see it now. In the absence of an explicitly marked "Date Table," Power BI is making it's own default date hierarchy. When a Date Table is created, that is unneeded.
My original question stemmed from the fact that I could get a Forecast line with Table 2 but not with Table 1... I do want to use my Date Table (I need a FY) but now I have a better idea of things to try. If I can't get it I will open a new post for that.
Thanks again!
