Dataflow vs import mode Performance efficiency

Dear All,

If I want to load all dimensions tables from dataflows vs all dimensions in import mode in the same pbi model, which is more performance efficient? Can you please help me with this.

Hi,

For performance this will really depend on the size of your data and the extent of the transformations. 

E.g: If you're going to do significant data transformations Dataflows might be more efficient as it allows for centralized data preparation and reuse across multiple reports. However, for large datasets, importing directly from SQL Server could be more efficient as it avoids the overhead of storing the data in Dataflows.

they are both use import but dataflows are in power bi service and power query is the same as dataflows but in power bi desktop.

But just want to know one thing is import mode from dataflows is more efficient or import mode from sql server is more efficient?
