I am trying to import data from Analysis Services. However I get the "Auto exist operation is exceeding permitted limit" when importing several data tables. Traditionally these tables exist in a cube but when if I connect direct, I have essentially 0 functionality within power BI. Is there any advice? I know what I am important is in reality a small file as excel goes (maybe 50k rows tops)

@Anonymous to be honest, in my experience but i could be wrong that is to do with a cube that has been badly modelled potentially or you have a lot of dimensions that are very wide, with lots of columns, I recommend understanding memory, you need to view your task manager and see how much memory is being used. Do you need all the data in the cube, im talking from a field perspective rather than rows (range of data)

@Anonymous have you tried to maybe limit the amount you bringing in just to test if its a memory issue? do you watch your memory ? have you also enabled tracing to see what that says?

I do not know how to watch my memory or do tracking. However i have tried to limit the data I bring in and it works. The challenge is I have to limit the data to such a paltry amount that doing so is not viable
