remove create button from home page

Hi all -

Looking to remove the create function from the power bi home page. we dont want casual users being able to create dashboards, we want that to fully sit with IT. any ideas on how to hide/remove/block that function?

Have you set up a tenant setting? If only specific security groups is assigned then you don't need to worry about the create button as it won't give a permission to the rest to create any items.

Follow these steps to enable Microsoft Fabric for your tenant.

1. Navigate to the tenant settings in the admin portal and in Microsoft Fabric, expand Users can create Fabric items.

2. Enable the Users can create Fabric items switch.

3. (Optional) Use the Specific security groups option to enable Microsoft Fabric for specific users. You can also use the Except specific security groups option, to exclude specific users.

4. Select Apply.
