Hello,
I'd like to make the "bookmarks" pane visible to everyone in the organization when they open up the report in reading view.
Right now, I (as a user with edit access) can click edit --> view --> toggle bookmarks pane.
However, if I save the report and navigate elsewhere, there pane disappears. Users without edit access can not see the pane at all. I have also tried to enable the pane in the desktop version and upload it to web. Same issue. Any tips?

Hi @20170120,
There's no way to have it open by default, because the Bookmarks pane is a a part of Power BI Desktop's design interface, but not an actual component of the report.
The best option would be to have labelled buttons tied to bookmarks (either on a landing page or place on a report tab itself), so that users can travel between views as needed.

That's a bit disappointing to hear (often there are certain views we use to diagnose an issue) which would be nice to set up as a bookmark.
Thanks for the confirmation!
What I was saying was that you can still access bookmarks in a variety of ways, just not easily from the bookmark pane itself.
What's the issue with creating a button to switch to the diagnostic bookmark as needed, and then a button to return to your previous view?
