publish to web (public) unable to display content

Hi

I was wondering when the Publish to web (public) wont work?

currently we have several reports that are published and the publish to web works before when viewing such reports.

But now its saying that the content is unavailable when we use the embed to public. if we use the publish to web or portal it works.

we havent changed anything PBI at all.

Hi , @Anonymous

"Public to web " and "Embed Website or portal"  are different , although both  will create  a link.

When you use Publish to web, users with whom you share your published visual don't need to enable Power BI visuals to view the report.

When you use Embed Website or portal , users need either a Power BI Pro license or the content needs to be in a workspace that's in a Power BI Premium capacity (EM or P SKU)  to view the embedded report. And the Embed option doesn't automatically permit users to view the report. View permissions need be set in the Power BI service. In the Power BI service, you can share embedded reports with users requiring access. If you're using a Microsoft 365 Group, you can list the user as a workspace member.

You also can check  the  considerations and limitations  of embed to portal here.

@Anonymous - Sorry, I'm confused because it seems like you are saying it works and that it doesn't work? Did it used to work and now it doesn't? Sorry, can you clarify? Or are you using like Embed => SharePoint or Embed = Website?

If it is the latter, it could be a licensing issue. You need Pro, Premium or Embed for the latter to work.
