Dear experts,
I use publish to web to display some dashboards in common areas of our office. This week, the links broke and no longer display the dashboards.
Here are two screenshots showing my embed options and how they differ. These reports are from the same workspace (my workspace) but you can see only one of them has "Publish to web (public)" option.
I know publish to web is not secure and would prefer to use another option but I have issues with authentication when trying Sharepoint in this scenario.
The report that does not have the publish to web option is created using a promoted dataset but that's the only difference I can think of.
No Publish to web

Hi funkolordofusa,
There is some limitations for publish to web, you need to check whether your report has below limitation. You could refer to Publish to web from Power BI for details.
In addition, if all reports don't have "Publish to Web" this option, you need to ask administator to check whether she or he disable this option in admin portal.

Zoe Zhi

I guess I didn't really ask a question, haha. Can anybody explain this or suggest what might be going wrong with my attempts to publish to web?
Thanks,

This example is a live connection to a promoted dataset so it falls under the restrictions you posted.
