populate parameters using sql query while sending Data Driven subscription

how to use SQL query in Power Bi data driven subscription to populate parametes based through SQL query. It was there in SSRS. I am not getting option for that . Any help will be highly appriciated.

Hi @sakumar,

 

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

 

Power bi does not have a direct 'data-driven subscription' feature like SSRS, where you can use an sql query to populate parameters dynamically. But we can achieve a similar functionality using Dynamic per Recipient Subscription in Power bi paginated reports.

  • Create a SQL table that stores recipient emails and report parameters and add this table to the power bi dataset.
  • In the power bi service, go to the paginated report and select Dynamic per recipient subscription. This option is only available in Power BI Premium or Fabric capacities, please make a note of it.
  • And then map the subscription fields to report parameters.
