number of gateways required for different environments

i have three power bi environments ( worskpaces created) for dev , uat and prod within same tenant and three different database instances - 1 for dev, 1 for uat and 1 for prod

do i need three gateways for each workspace or same gateway can be used for three different workspaces or power bi environments ?

Gateways (like Power BI Desktop) need direct line of sight to the data sources.  If your data sources are in network compartments with ZTNA then you will need separate gateway per compartment (and truckloads of firewall exception rules).

Hi  @powerbiexpert22,

You do not need three gateways for three workspaces, but you can created 3 connections under the same gateway and connect different connections (Different datasets) with different workspaces as gateway works at a tenant level and not on workspace level.
