I have created my first dashboard based on a report with 13000 lines in its dataset (import from SSAS)
The dashboard has 3 visuals all based on the KPI indicator visual from the market place. Performance of the visual seems to go down when regularly switching between the dashboard and the underlying report. After doing this like 5 times, the dashboard does not load anymore and I only see blank visuals. This worries me because the intention is to create a dashboard with around 10 kpi indicator visuals. No idea what is wrong. Anyone any experience?
Hi @jvandyck
As tested with dataset of 13000 lines and KPI indicator visual, it doesn't return black, but load data very slowly on dashboard.
How about leave this dashboard for a while and refresh your webpage, then open again?
Which web browser do you use? there are some users facing similar issue when using IE, could you try Google Chrome?
Best Regards
Maggie
Hi
I have now replicated the issue at report level, with less than 500 rows of data. I just copied the same visual 18 times.
In IE11 performance does go down as I swithch between the report and my workspace, and after 5 times max, no visualization is shown anymore.
Google Chrome does not seem to suffer from this issue....even though I cannot ask my endusers to only use google chrome for power bi....strange suggestion as such anyway :).
Your first suggestion works...yes it comes back, but slowly and the whole thing starts over again
