how to assign dynamically the value of a column to a parameter

Hello everyone.
Hope someone can help please.
I have a dataflow with a table that has a single record and I need to assign the value of a unique column, dynamically, to a parameter.
In the definition of the parameter, I configured it to be based on that query but I couldn't get it to take the value of the column after the query that feeds the table is executed.
Is anyone else having this issue and if so, have you managed to resolve it.
