error defining snowflake channel in on-premise gateway

Hello,

I am able to connect to snowflake using the built-in snowflake connector and retrieve data from the database in Power BI desktop. But I am not able to define the same channel in our on-premise gateway (gatewayVersion : 3000.154.3) using the same input - I keep getting a message that the credentials are not valid (but obviously they are). Any suggestions?

In my experience, this is more of a networking issue.  Your desktop to snowflake might be going to through a different proxy however your gateway request going via a different channel. You can enable to detail loging on the gateway machine that should show some more details.

Thx for yr input, reason for error was as basic as GW ip not being in the Whitelist. GW IP now included and channel up and running.
