is it possible to set up subscription which sends an email copy of report in excel format?

If you have paginated report, then yes you can send subscription with excel attachment

Hi. No there is no way to create a subscription that will send an excel from the Power Bi report. You can send pictures, link to report or (in premium) a pdf/ppt. If the users have access to the report, you can send an "Analyze in excel" file or teach them how to connect to the power bi dataset from excel.
