There are two independent database servers set up on a remote virtual machine, along with a Power BI gateway.
Currently, the report data in Power BI Desktop is connected to Database 1 through DirectQuery mode.
After being published to the service, the gateway is configured in the service to map the data to Database 1.
Now, there is a desire to switch the data source on the service to Database 2. Both Database 1 and Database 2 have the same database names, table names, and field names.
The report that was published previously was connected to Database Server 1. Is it possible to make this switch? If so, how?

Hi @oakgogo
You will have to open up your existing report and change the connection from database server 1 to database server 2 and then republish it to the power service. Also make sure that your power BI gateway has got a data source connection to database server 2.
