dataset refresh

Hi,

I am using sql server but to connect sql server I have to use vpn . I have created report and published to the server and for scheduling refresh I have used gateways and gave the credentials. I have tried without vpn but its not working do anyone have any idea how to make it work.

Make sure the server where you host the gateway has network access to the SQL and ports are configured correctly.

Try using telnet from the server to check if you can access the server.
Portcheck can be performed via the gateway client.
