automatically refresh of the Usage Metrics report dataset

hi all,

have created a report usage metrics report (via view usage report metrics) but the data in this report is not automatically refreshed. The report presents a message: The usage data is outdated. Check the refresh history and data source credentials of the usage metrics report dataset settings. Can anyone tell if i need to create a dataset or how i can find this dataset because i want to update the data without deleting the report and then create it again.

The data in Usage Metrics report is not updated in real time.  It can take up to 24 hours for data to update. As @aj1973 mentioned , you can also use REST API to monitor the data . For specific information you can refer to this official document below.

Best way to create such reports is to use Power BI REST API.

thanks for swift response but  I was hoping that the report view usage metrics report created via PBI webservice could also be updated. I was already aware of using the audit files (via admin portal) but this is not what i was looking for. Anyway, will see what options we have with the usage metrics report... Thanks a lot!
