Hi,
I have several fields used as Rows, and the matrix created is as follow
| Category 1 | Category 2 | Category 3 | Value |
| I | A | 1 | 1000 |
| 2 | 500 | ||
| B | 3000 | ||
| II | C | 3 | 100 |
| D | 4 | 700 | |
| 5 | 1200 |
Instead of having the above layout, is there a way to change the layout to be as follow?
| Category | |||
| I | |||
| A | |||
| 1 | 1000 | ||
| 2 | 500 | ||
| B | 3000 | ||
| II | |||
| C | |||
| 3 | 100 | ||
| D | |||
| 4 | 700 | ||
| 5 | 1200 |
Or, to be more specific, like Financial Statement reports layout.
Thanks,
No, it's not possible. In Power BI Desktop, it's not supported to show all level data in a "step down" layout (like Pivot Table in Excel) in matrix.

Hi @v-sihou-msft,
I find Matrix Preview is able to provide the layout.
However, I can't find option to expand/collapse each group, which will be useful if we have non-standard number of level for the category/group, thus we can choose to hide the level with blank category.
