arrange rows in matrix

Hi,

I have several fields used as Rows, and the matrix created is as follow

Category 1Category 2Category 3Value
IA11000
  2500
 B 3000
IIC3100
 D4700
  51200

Instead of having the above layout, is there a way to change the layout to be as follow?

Category
I
 A
  11000
  2500
 B3000
II
 C
  3100
 D
  4700
  51200

Or, to be more specific, like Financial Statement reports layout.

Thanks,

No, it's not possible. In Power BI Desktop, it's not supported to show all level data in a "step down" layout (like Pivot Table in Excel) in matrix.

Hi @v-sihou-msft,

I find Matrix Preview is able to provide the layout.

However, I can't find option to expand/collapse each group, which will be useful if we have non-standard number of level for the category/group, thus we can choose to hide the level with blank category.

As you seen, currently the new Matrix Preview doesn't support expand each group (like SSRS). So I suggest you submit a feature request on idea.

Hi @v-sihou-msft,

Yup. Have posted it!

Thanks.
