Hi,
I am currently building a report and I have the assistance from someone on the UI team. We are currently collaborating on the report in the same workspace. I am in charge of creating the DAX measures, implementing the correct data, etc. while the UI employee is solely in charge of design and placement of cards, charts etc. I just realized I can't create new measures in the edit view of a workspace. What is the best practice to continue to add measures to a dashboard that someone else is editing in a workspace?

Hi @Anonymous ,
Please note:
The Power BI service is a cloud-based service. It supports light report editing and collaboration for teams and organizations. You can connect to data sources in the Power BI service, too, but modeling is limited.
Most report designers who work on business intelligence projects use Power BI Desktop to create reports, and then use the Power BI service to distribute their reports with others.
For this case, you can create some visuals in power bi service but you cannot modeling like create measures in power bi service. If you want to work with other users in a workspace, you can create measures in power bi desktop firstly and publish this report to power bi service to cooperate with ohter users who can create or design visuals in power bi service. Finally you can publish the final report as an app to share with more users.

Yingjie Li
