Where is the View usage metrics report option?

Hi!

Do you have any news of any changes on Power BI in 'View usage metrics report'?

Until friday it was in the drop menú in reports, but this option is no longer disponible.

Was this ever resolved? I'm having the same issue in "My Workspace"

In case it helps, I have detected that if a new work area is created it works correctly, View Usage Metrics is working on a imported report.

But in the original 'My work area' still does not appear the View Usage Metrics.

Same here. This option is (again) not showing.

This happens in my personal workspace (pro) and general workspace (premium).

@Albert_Castillo I've noticed that I cannot access usage metrics for reports specifically in My Workspace, but can access usage metrics in other workspaces.  Are you expriencing the same?

@Jeff-Hadley, i have the same isue.

Old workspaces with usage metrics are woking well, but new tenants since March we cannot acces to the usage metrics, the option is not showing.

I'm currently facing the same issue and can't find any sources online to help, the option to view the usage metrics isn't showing up in it's usual place and this problem only appeared recently.

If someone finds a solution kindly help

I'd like to suggest you take a look at official document limitation part:

check the bold one, it might be turned off,

Considerations and limitations

Q: I can't run usage metrics on a dashboard or report
A: You can only see usage metrics for content you own or have permissions to edit.

Q: Will usage metrics capture views from embedded dashboards and reports?
A: Usage metrics currently does not support capturing usage for embedded dashboards and reports, including the user owns data flow, the app owns data flow and the publish to web flow. In those cases, we recommend using existing web analytics platforms to track us...

Q: I can't run usage metrics on any content at all.
A1: Admins can turn off this feature for their organization. Contact your Admin to see if this is the case.
A2: Usage metrics is a Power BI Pro feature.+

Q: The data doesn't seem up-to-date. For example, distribution methods don't show up, report pages are missing, etc.
A: It can take up to 24 hours for data to update.

Q: There are four reports in the workspace but the usage metrics report only displays 3.
A: The usage metrics report only includes reports (or dashboards) that have been accessed in the past 90 days. If a report (or dashboard) does not show up, likely it hasn't been used in more than 90 days.

I'm the admin and the licence is correct.

All started with a new client, we can't find the option and there was when we searched on other tenants where we have this option operative last week and it disappeared.

We'll talk with Microsoft, I will let you know when I have more light on this.

Hi @Idrissshatila,

I'm a workspace admin, also the owner of the reports and the semantic models.

I tried giving to this user Global administrator permisions but the result is the same.

it's still in the drop down, make sure you're clicking on the three dots of the report not the dataset
